Answers to Love: an interactive window installation

Answers to Love is a window installation at The Southern Letterpress and Job Printing on display through the month of February. The installation is made of anonymous responses to four different questions about love. Each question is printed at the top of a 8 x 5 inch piece of paper, leaving a large blank space for a written response. Everyone is invited to participate in Answers to Love.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

When asked the question, “When did you know it was real?” around Valentine’s Day, do you immediately think about your love life? Many people immediately consider their romantic relationships when the word “love” is included in a question, especially in February. We tend to forget how many kinds of love we can experience. In the real world, outside of our ideals and what is sold to us, love is less often about romance, and more about a myriad of other topics. Answers to Love serves two purposes. One is to provide Columbus, Mississippi with a public, paper-based anonymous confessional about love. The other purpose is to document how many different kinds of love there are in the world.

Come by The Southern and answer the questions yourself!
