Ready to up the quality of your paper-based correspondence? Print your own set of stationery! Create a design from the extensive collection of metal movable type in The Southern Letterpress archive. Options include a monogram, decorative ornament, or a name or phrase of your choice. You’ll explore how to mix ink that matches the Pantone color of your choice, and how to use the Vandercook Sp-15 printing press. You’ll leave the workshop with a set of 30 personalized 4.25 x 5.5 notecards, letterpress-printed on thick, luxurious 100% cotton paper with matching envelopes.

All classes are taught by Jessica Peterson, the owner and operator of The Southern Letterpress. Jessica is a designer, letterpress printer, and teacher. She has taught workshops and classes in book arts and printing at universities and arts centers around the country, including Tulane University, the University of Alabama, Ringling College, University of Utah and Purchase College. She has an MFA in Book Arts from the University of Alabama. Her artists’ books are collected in private and public libraries around the country.
