Print Your Own Holiday Card: 11/19/23

Saturday, November 19 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Learn the very basics of letterpress printing while making your own holiday or New Year’s greeting! You will set your own words in metal or wood movable type, and then print an edition of 35 prints on the mighty Vandercook SP-15 flatbed printing press. Paper and envelopes will be provided!

All classes are taught by Jessica Peterson, the owner and operator of The Southern Letterpress. Jessica is a designer, letterpress printer, and teacher. She has taught workshops and classes in book arts and printing at universities and arts centers around the country, including Tulane University, the University of Alabama, Ringling College, University of Utah and Purchase College. She has an MFA in Book Arts from the University of Alabama. Her artists’ books are collected in private and public libraries around the country.
