Printing Business Cards with Printing Plates: 10/21/23

Saturday October 21, 1 to 5 p.m.

Transform your computer-based business card design into a letterpress print through the magic of photo-polymer printing plates! Photo-polymer printing plates are very hard plastic printing plates that can be made from computer files, allowing for digitally-rendered designs to be beautifully letterpress-printed. In this workshop, we will explore the very basics of letterpress printing while printing your one-color design on the mighty Vandercook SP-15 flatbed printing press. You’ll leave with 50 business cards, printed on thick 100% cotton paper.

* Digital designs need to be finalized and emailed to The Southern Letterpress about 2 weeks before the workshop.

$120, all materials included. Sliding scale available.
