In honor of Martin Luther King Day: trash pick up on the levee with the babes and greens, peas, okra and chicken for dinner.

PRINT YOUR OWN VALENTINES! A LETTERPRESS WORKSHOP.

Come practice the very basics of letterpress printing and print your own Valentine design! You will set your own words in metal or wood movable type, and then print an edition of 35 prints on the mighty Vandercook SP-15 flatbed printing press. This will be a one-color print process (but you can choose the color!), and we will discuss other ways to add color and va-vooom to your print, including paper type, ink color, color gradients and editioned-stamping techinques.

Saturday, January 29, 2022 9 a.m. to noon

$75. All supplies included, including paper and envelopes.

Limited to 3 participants, proof of vaccination required, and masks will be worn during the workshop.
