Kentuck Festival of the Arts

The Southern Letterpress will be at The Kentuck Festival of the Arts in Northport, Alabama on October 19 & 20, 2013. We were honored to design and print this year’s festival poster, commemorating 30 years of quilts by Hallie O Kelley, and are so excited to have a tent at the festival!   We will be demonstrating printing on this sweet platen press, circa 1890 (here photographed overlooking the Mississippi River in Mark Twain’s home town… Jessica took it on a little road trip to the Ladies of Letterpress in Iowa over the summer).   Kentuck is the premiere arts festival in the southeastern United States, featuring the best in art and folk art.
