Print Your Word: A letterpress printing manifestation

Feel the typographic power of setting a single word in metal or wood type and printing it yourself on the Vandercook printing press. For this last New Orleans-based workshop at The Southern Letterpress, you can chose a typeface from the metal and wood type collection, set a single word, and print and edition 20 copies. The ink color will be gold, and there will be a wide array of papers to choose from (or bring your own paper!). This is way to experience letterpress printing, and to manifest the word you choose to print.

$20 per edition. Parents, partner with your child or children! Adults, partner with a friend or lover! The $20 is for up to 3 people printing a single word.
